A Denied Disability Claim Can Be Devastating
If your claim for disability benefits has been denied, I completely understand why you’re upset. You may have spent hours gathering medical evidence and working on an explanation that accurately shows how your condition has forced you out of work and how it is impacting your life.
You need these disability benefits to survive. It’s no wonder you’re devastated.
If your application for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) was denied, you have the right to file an appeal. Though the process can be lengthy and complicated, there are legal leaders like me, lawyer Mike Breen, who want to help you.
Your present and future well-being matters to me. Let me help you protect it by filing an appeal of your denied disability claim.
You Have The Right To An Appeal
My law firm Mike Breen, Attorney at Law, P.S.C., and I want you to know that if you disagree with the determination made about your disability claim, you have the right to appeal within 60 days of receiving your rejection letter. This gives you the chance to present your case again in hopes of getting approval the next time around.
There are typically four levels of appeal, starting with a reconsideration review and then moving onto a hearing with an administrative law judge, a review by the Appeals Council, and finally a federal court review if necessary.
I will make sure that your appeal is filed on time and you have included all appropriate information, like:
- Your work and medical history
- The list of medications you are taking for your condition
- Any testimonies you have that supports your claim
Depending on continued denial of your claim, I can help you file further appeals. I will act as your advocate, making sure SSA listens to your claim and fully comprehends your need for benefits.
