Savoyard, KY (March 28, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Saturday in Metcalfe County left several people injured. On March 26, the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Kentucky Route 314.

Reports provided by the Sheriff’s Office show that just after noon, a 40-year-old woman was driving a 2013 Kia Forte north on Kentucky State Route 314 when her vehicle collided with a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado near the intersection of Ratliff Mitchell Road.

The driver of the Kia became pinned inside her vehicle. She was mechanically extracted by local firefighters. The injured woman was then transported via air ambulance to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee for emergency care.

Two passengers in the Kia, identified as a 20-year-old male and a juvenile female, were both transported by ambulance to TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow for the treatment of injuries.

The driver of the Silverado, a 50-year-old man, was not injured.

At this time, the Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
