Hopkinsville, KY (August 8, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Hopkinsville on Saturday afternoon left two people injured. Just before 1 p.m., on August 6, emergency crews were notified that a motor vehicle crash had occurred on Lafayette Road.

Preliminary investigations show that a 25-year-old man from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, was driving northbound on Lafayette Road. As he attempted to make a left turn onto Stone Valley Drive, his vehicle collided with a second vehicle, which was operated by a 26-year-old man from Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Both men suffered injuries as a result of the accident. The two victims were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for emergency medical care. After arriving at the hospital, the 25-year-old man was later flown to a hospital in the Evansville area for further treatment of critical injuries.

The Kentucky State police are investigating the crash at this time.
