HOPKINSVILLE, KY – MAN KILLED IN PEDESTRIAN CRASH ON S MAIN ST
Hopkinsville, KY (August 11, 2022) – One man died as a result of a pedestrian accident in the Hopkinsville area on Tuesday evening. At around 8:30 p.m., on August 9, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash that occurred on South Main Street.
Reports from the Hopkinsville Police Department show that a man was walking near the Country Mark gas station on South Main Street during the evening hours.
As a man traveled down the southbound side of the roadway, he was struck by a southbound vehicle, which was driven by a 47-year-old woman from Earlington, Kentucky.
The man was severely injured in the crash. He was rushed by ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries.
The crash is under investigation at this time.
