CENTRAL CITY, KY – MAN LOSES LIFE IN PEDESTRIAN CRASH ON WESTERN KENTUCKY PARKWAY NEAR MM 58
Central City, KY (April 20, 2022) – One man lost his life as a result of a pedestrian accident in Muhlenberg County on Monday evening, April 18. At around 10:30 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Western Kentucky Parkway.
Reports from the Central City Police Department show that a 38-year-old man was walking near mile marker 58 on the Western Kentucky Parkway. For unknown reasons, he was struck by a vehicle passing through the area.
Several officers with the Central City Fire Department, Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Office, and Muhlenberg County EMS responded to provide assistance.
The victim sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner's Office.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
