Bowling Green, KY – Truck vs Car Crash on I-65 Near Woodburn Allen Springs Rd Overpass Ends in Injuries

Bowling Green, KY (September 13, 2022) – At around 2:15 p.m., on Sunday afternoon, September 11th, officers with the Bowling Green Police Department assisted emergency personnel at the scene of a crash on Interstate 65. It happened in the Bowling Green area and left at least one victim with injuries. 

Police reports show that a semi-truck and a white sedan collided on the southbound side of the interstate. The crash caused disruptions in the area near the Woodburn Allen Springs Road overpass. 

The impact of the collision caused the sedan to strike a concrete barrier in the middle of the roadway. Emergency medical services provided treatment to the victims who suffered injuries in the crash.  

An unknown number of people were transferred to area hospitals for further care as needed. Few other details are currently available. 

The Bowling Green Police Department is conducting an investigation into the c ause of the crash at this time.
