BOWLING GREEN, KY – SERIES OF CRASHES ON I-65 NEAR MM 44 RESULTS IN INJURIES
Bowling Green, KY (August 10, 2022) – A crash reported in the Bowling Green area on Tuesday evening ended in injuries. Just before 6:10 p.m., on August 9, the Bowling Green Police Department and local firefighters were notified that an auto wreck had occurred on Interstate 65.
Preliminary investigations show that an SUV was involved in a crash on the northbound side of Interstate 65 near mile marker 44. The SUV then crashed into the center barrier. Moments later, a subsequent crash between an unknown number of vehicles blocked the southbound side of the roadway in the same area.
Medical personnel responded to the incident to provide treatment to those who suffered injuries. At least one victim was transported out for further care.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
