BOWLING GREEN, KY – POLICE & FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO INJURY CRASH ON RUSSELLVILLE RD NEAR VETERAN’S BLVD
Bowling Green, KY (July 26, 2022) – A vehicle collision occurred in the Bowling Green area on Tuesday that left one man with injuries. Just after 8:10 a.m., on July 26, the Bowling Green Fire Department, Bowling Green Police Department, and emergency medical service crews responded to a crash that occurred on Russellville Road.
Reports show that a collision between vehicles occurred on Russellville Road in the area near the Veterans Boulevard intersection. The impact of the crash caused one black pickup truck to roll over and catch on fire.
One man became trapped inside his vehicle. Bystanders rushed over to assist in freeing the man from the vehicle.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he went through emergency medical treatment for his injuries.
The Bowling Green Fire Department blocked off the roadway for an extended period. The police department is investigating the crash at this time.
