BOWLING GREEN, KY – KSP DISPATCHED TO INJURY ACCIDENT ON I-65 NEAR EXIT 38 (HIGHWAY 101)
Bowling Green, KY (July 2, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Smith’s Grove area that left at least one person injured. Just before 6:40 p.m., July 1, emergency crews were notified that a motor vehicle accident took place on Interstate 65 that required assistance.
Reports provided by the Kentucky State Police indicate that a collision between vehicles took place on Interstate 65 in the area near exit 38 for Highway 101. The incident caused delays throughout the area as emergency crews and the Smith’s Grove Volunteer Fire Department closed off the roadway to clear the scene and investigate.
Medical personnel responded to the site of the crash to treat victims who suffered injuries. At least one person was transported to an area hospital where they underwent further medical care.
The Kentucky State Police is currently investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
