Motor vehicle collisions in Kentucky leave tens of thousands of people injured each year. Accidents, where one or more drivers involved in the accident flee the scene, are referred to as hit-and-run accidents.
Although drivers have a legal duty to remain at the scene of an accident once a collision occurs, there are instances where drivers flee in their vehicles or on-site in an attempt to evade responsibility following the crash.
