BOWLING GREEN, KY – CRASH WITH INJURIES REPORTED AT I-65 NEAR MM 16
Bowling Green, KY (May 26, 2022) – A traffic collision reported in the Bowling Green area on Wednesday afternoon sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. Just after 2 p.m., on May 25, the Bowling Green Police Department, Bowling Green fire department, and EMS were all dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that took place on Interstate 65.
Reports provided by authorities indicate that a collision between vehicles blocked the northbound side of Interstate 65 in the area near mile marker 16.
The incident caused severe delays in the area after the police and firefighters blocked off several lanes of the roadway with the assistance of the Kentucky State Patrol.
Emergency medical services rendered aid to the victims at the scene of the accident before transporting them to area hospitals for further care.
At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
