BOWLING GREEN, KY – BICYCLIST STRUCK BY VEHICLE ON US 31 W BYPASS
Bowling Green, KY (August 23, 2022) – A bicycle accident was reported in the Bowling Green area on Tuesday afternoon that ended in injuries. At around 12:08 p.m., on August 23, emergency medical services and area police and firefighters were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US 31 West Bypass.
Local police reports show that a bicyclist was traveling in front of the Rally’s on US 31 West Bypass when they were struck by a passing vehicle.
The bicyclist sustained injuries due to the motor vehicle accident. The Bowling Green Police Department and area firefighters responded to the scene and closed off a portion of the roadway.
Paramedics provided care to the injured bicyclist at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital, where they underwent further treatment.
The Bowling Green Police Department is conducting an investigation into this bicycle crash at this time.
