AUBURN, KY – MAN INJURED IN FIERY TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION ON SHARP GARDEN RD
Auburn, KY (March 30, 2022) – A man was left injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Logan County on Friday evening. Just before 5 p.m., on March 25, emergency crews were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Auburn area.
Reports provided by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office show that a 26-year-old man from Russellville was driving a 2017 GMC Sierra south in the 2000 block of Sharp Garden Road. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided head-on with a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse, which was traveling north on the roadway.
The Chevrolet caught on fire as a result of the accident. A passerby noticed the vehicle on fire and ran up to provide assistance. The Good Samaritan pulled a minor from the vehicle.
The driver of the GMC was transported to Bowling Green Medical Center for the treatment of injuries. The minor was airlifted and flown by AirVac to Nashville Skyline Medical Center for emergency care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
