ALVATON, KY – INJURIES REPORTED IN MVA ON CEMETERY RD NEAR CLAYPOOL ALVATON RD
Alvaton, KY (May 20, 2022) – Emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a major motor vehicle accident that took place in the Alvaton area on Wednesday morning, May 18.
Just after 11 a.m., the Alvaton Volunteer fire Department and emergency crews were dispatched to an auto accident that occurred on Cemetery Road.
Reports from authorities show that a collision between vehicles blocked Cemetery Road near the intersection of Claypool Alvaton Road. A dump truck was involved in the accident as well. The vehicles blocked the roadway, prompting the police and firefighters to close off the intersection for an extended period.
Injuries were confirmed as a result of this accident. EMS transported those in need of further care to area hospitals.
At this time, the police and Alvaton are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
